Children's Ministries: First Light!

First Light is the name of the infant through 5th grade children's ministries of First Lutheran. Beginning with the Little Lambs, infant through pre-school, continuing with the Sparklers, age 4 years through 2nd grade, and then the Flames, 3rd grade through 5th grade youth group. These groups gather for fellowship and service, worship and song, snacks and games...all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Come and join us as we seek to live into our baptismal covenants together as the body of Christ.

Little Lambs
Little Lambs is a gathering of infants and preschoolers and their parents. We gather for songs, dancing, snacks, games, fellowship, Bible stories--we gather to strengthen the body of Christ as we proclaim God's Love and Grace through our fellowship. Little Lambs is a great way for young children to socialize, parents to meet one another, Christian friendships to be born and so much more! Come and see!

Little Lambs meets on the 4th Friday of every month from 9:30 to 11:30. The Little Lambs gather together for social outings as well such as barbeques or apple orchards or whatever the Spirit leads us towards. God bless you and your Little Lamb as you grow in your faith, love, and service of God.

Sparklers
The Sparklers are a gathering of God's children deepening their faith and relationship with God as they learn Bible stories, play games, share a meal together, and have story time. This group of 4 year olds through 2nd grade meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 5-6:30 pm. It is an exciting time for them, a great opportunity for parents to meet one another, as parents are expected in someway to help with the program, and a blessed time of learning and fellowship. Come check it out!

Flames
Is a gathering of the 3rd through 5th grade young people on the 2nd Friday evening of every month from 7:30 p.m.-8:30pm. This group alternates every month between a service project and a fellowship activity. For example one month may be a swimming and pizza party and the next month may be packing backpacks for children in Iraq or more recently for children displaced by the Hurricanes in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. This is a great group of young people and an excellent opportunity to grow in faith, love, and service of God. Come and join us!
