Getting Involved

Throughout First Lutheran's history, our commitment has been to fulfilling the task God has set before us. We are the body of Christ in this place and time, using the gifts God has given us to carry out our witness. And what are these gifts?

The Apostle wrote in Ephesians, Chapter 4, that Christ's gifts are "that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." How do we take these words and Christ's gifts and make them meaningful for today? How do we make an empty building, mere bricks and boards, come alive with the Holy Spirit? The answer, of course, is you. First Lutheran offers many opportunities for you to be an active partner in Christ's ministry, not only on Sunday, but throughout the week. The question is, where do you fit in?
