Bereavement Classes JOURNEYING THROUGH GRIEF Bereavement Care Sessions, 2008 (Sponsored by First Lutheran’s Stephen Ministry)
There is a light in the world, a healing spirit, more powerful than any darkness we may encounter. We sometimes lose sight of this force, when there is so much suffering, too much pain. Then suddenly, the spirit will emerge through the lives of ordinary people who care and answer in extraordinary ways. – Mother Theresa This program, open to all who have experienced a loss, either by death, divorce, etc., will offer insights and tools with which to cope with the intense feelings of sadness and loss. Participants will have the opportunity to express themselves in a supportive atmosphere and in a confidential manner. Sessions will be held in the Library on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The class culminates with a special Communion Service (open to all) called “God’s Aloha” on Tuesday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary followed by a reception in the Fellowship Center. Guest Preacher: Pr. Mike O.Brien, Sr. Pastor, Colesville Presbyterian Church.
