Faith Finders

Faith Finders is offered during the education hour on Sunday mornings. Faith Finders is an intergenerational program. Children and adults gather in the social hall to share highs and lows, read a Bible verse, talk about how the Bible Reading can help in our daily lives, pray, and bless each other before going to individual classes. Faith Finders can be started at any time during the school year. Come grow with us! For more information contact Lauren Gray.

The Toddler Nursery, located downstairs next to the social hall, is vibrantly decorated with a mural of friendly animals including panda bears, flamingos, and tigers. The nursery is fully staffed during the summer months for the 10:30 a.m. service, and from September-May during Sunday school and the 10:30 a.m. service.

Holy Communion Instruction- Admission to the Sacrament is by invitation of the Lord, presented through the Church to those who are baptized. Families may decide at what age each of their children will participate fully in the sacrament by receiving bread and wine or grape juice. Age-appropriate educational materials are available from any member of the church staff.

We make bread during our Holy Communion Instruction.

Affirmation of Baptism

Affirmation of Baptism classes provide a framework for each of us to better understand ourselves as children of God; baptized, filled with the Holy Spirit, fed at God's table, and sent into the world to serve God by serving others.

At First Lutheran, classes are for children in sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The three year program consists of classes on Sunday mornings, retreats, and small group discussions. Requirements include serving within the church and community.

Contact Director of Children and Youth Ministries, Lauren Gray at Lauren@firstlutheranec.org for more information.

Older children may attend Faith Finders at this time.
